Help you turn buyer interest into a qualified opportunity, a clear next step, and a well-supported buying decision.

Account executive work you can inspect

One of nine connected roles

The follow-up a sales hire would own, prepared for you to approve.

Replies, meetings and open deals become the next action, meeting preparation, and follow-up that stops the moment a buyer answers.

AE · Account executive

Help you turn buyer interest into a qualified opportunity, a clear next step, and a well-supported buying decision.

This role keeps interested accounts moving through the commercial process and stops quiet deals from disappearing. Negotiation, commitments and the relationship stay with you.

How it starts with your website

Receives replies and researched companies from Sales development, or reads the opportunities and contacts in the CRM you connect. It keeps the confirmed brief behind every draft, so a reply reflects what you sell and what you can claim.

What the role does for you

  • Prepare a pre-call brief each day for the meetings on your calendar: goal, last touch, the likely objection, the ask. Draft the post-call follow-up in the evening with agreements, next steps and owners, and mark dates as assumptions until you confirm them.
  • Draft replies, follow-ups, proposal language and stakeholder-specific messages from the brief and the account record. A message reaches a person only after you approve it, and only through a mailbox you connected; the send layer is off until you turn it on.
  • Stop or reroute follow-up when a reply, an opt-out, a bounce or a pause says so. An automatic reply is treated differently from a human reply.
  • Score an opportunity against a qualification rubric on request, prepare a joint success plan, and propose CRM updates rather than writing them silently.
  • Ask the sales engineer, partner or customer success role for input when a deal needs it, with the account reference attached.
On its own schedule: 6 scheduled tasks, 9 more on request
  • Daily · 06:15 UTC Pre-call brief for every meeting on the calendar: who is in the room, what changed, what to ask
  • Daily · 17:15 UTC Post-call follow-up drafted from what was said, with the commitments captured
  • Wednesdays · 06:15 UTC Value framing: what this buyer is actually trying to fix, in their words and their numbers
  • Mondays · 06:15 UTC Retrospective: which deals moved, which stalled, and what the pattern says
  • Fridays · 06:15 UTC Friday synthesis: the week’s calls and deals turned into next week’s focus
  • Quarterly · 06:15 UTC Quarter narrative: the story of the quarter’s pipeline, written from the record

Times are UTC. Every task stops at a draft or a report for your review; you can turn any of them off in the console.

The work you receive

  • Pre-call briefs and post-call recaps, with the evidence behind them.
  • Deal briefs: buyer needs, stakeholders, qualification gaps and the next action.
  • Follow-up drafts, an explicit approval scope, and the provider receipt for anything sent.
  • Proposed opportunity updates and a decision queue on Home.

An example in practice

A buyer replies asking about rollout. The role drafts a reply, asks the sales engineer role for a supported answer on the integration question, and records a proposed next meeting. The opportunity stays at its current stage; a reply is not a win.

A scenario to show the shape of the work, not a customer result.

What it needs from you

Lead the customer conversations that matter, approve pricing and commitments, and decide whether an opportunity is qualified. Set the approval scope: one message, or a defined follow-up sequence. The role prepares the context and the routine follow-through so your time goes to the decision.

The confirmed business brief is reused across every role. The roles ask for missing facts, the decisions only you can make, and approvals, instead of repeating setup.

Expected outcomes and how to judge them

Opportunities with current context, a named owner and a visible next action. The commercial aim is more qualified deals moving toward a decision; whether they close depends on the buyer and the offer.

Measures worth watching

  • Time from a reply to your response and to the next action.
  • Missed follow-ups, stalled opportunities and CRM completeness.
  • Stage progression, sales-cycle length, win and loss reasons, and closed revenue where the CRM records it.

How the handoff works

Each handoff carries the account or customer reference, the source evidence, the work status, the responsible owner, and the decision needed next.

  • To Sales engineer

What moves: A technical question and the deal context.

What happens next: Answer from supported material, or say what is not supported.

  • To Customer success

What moves: A confirmed sale, the buyer goals and the commitments made.

What happens next: Prepare onboarding so nothing promised is lost.

  • To Sales leader

What moves: Opportunity changes and the evidence behind them.

What happens next: Inspect pipeline quality and what needs attention.

When it is useful, and what it depends on

Most useful once replies or opportunities exist. Sending needs a connected Gmail (verified) or Outlook (preview) and the send layer turned on; opportunity updates need a connected CRM. It cannot commit you to pricing, terms or delivery outside the scope you approved.

  • Replies or opportunities to work
  • A connected mailbox and calendar
  • A CRM for stage and note updates

Results and speed depend on the offer, the evidence, your decisions, and the buyer. Nothing here promises revenue or a time to revenue.

Questions people ask

How much does salescron cost?

$99 per person per month, or $1,089 a year. That is the price of the whole platform: one seat licenses salescron and every other role, and adding a teammate adds a seat at the same price.

What does salescron include?

6 scheduled tasks and 15 skills covering the full enterprise deal cycle: prospecting signals, MEDDPICC-aware deal inspection, single-threading alerts, stall acceleration, re-engagement, and quarter-commit hygiene.

Is salescron configured to my company?

Yes. Setup interviews you for your company, products, competitors, brand, and your own customer proof points, so outreach sounds like you, not another vendor.

What happens if my renewal lapses?

Scheduled runs stop. Your data, your drafts and your settings stay exactly as they are, and renewing starts the schedule again. Nothing is deleted when a subscription lapses.
