Comparison
Sales as Code vs an AI SDR
An AI SDR plays one role and mostly sends on its own. Sales as Code plays nine and sends nothing without your click.
This page names a category rather than a company, because the category is what a founder is actually weighing and because a number pinned to a named vendor is a claim about their business we cannot support.
An AI SDR does one job: prospect, write, send, book. When it works it works at a volume no person matches. The published failure mode of the category is also specific and well documented: a large share of deployments are cancelled inside the first year, and the reason given is messages that went out without anybody reading them first.
Sales as Code makes the opposite trade. Nine roles instead of one, and a send that waits for a signed-in person every single time. That is slower. It is also the difference between a program you can show a customer and one you find out about from a customer.
What an AI SDR does better
- Volume. A gate that waits for a person is a ceiling, and an autonomous sender does not have one.
- Time to first send. There is nothing to approve, so the first message goes out sooner.
Pick an AI SDR if: Top of funnel volume is the only thing you are short of, and you have somebody who will read the outbox.
Capability by capability
| Capability | Sales as Code | an AI SDR |
|---|---|---|
| Roles covered | Nine, each with its own skill pack and schedule. | One, the sales development rep. |
| Who presses send | A signed-in person, every time. The dispatcher refuses an unapproved draft before any other check, and no cron, agent or automation in the product can do the approving. Sending is off on a new account. | Sequences run on a schedule once launched. |
| Note This is the one difference that is a check in the code rather than a setting. It is also the reason to pick them if you want volume: a gate is a cost as well as a protection. | ||
| What runs overnight | A cron fleet at fixed clock times, 100 skills across nine products. | Sequences and a prospecting loop. |
| After the meeting is booked | MEDDPICC capture, deal inspection, deal rooms, relationship maps, forecast governance, win and loss synthesis. | Not offered. |
| Manager and executive view | Team rollup, coaching scorecard, capacity and bowtie, CAC allocation, a board narrative contract. | Not offered. |
| Customer success and support | Customer health, touch tiers, renewal workspace, references, a support product with its own helpdesk. | Not offered. |
| Price on the page | Published. Every role and the all-nine plan, with no demo call. | Not published. |
| Note A claim about their page, not a claim about what they cost. A figure about somebody else’s business does not belong on our storefront, so none appears here. | ||
| What happens when it is wrong | You read a draft and do not approve it. Every approval is recorded. | A customer reads it. |
What it costs here
All nine roles are $99 a month, or $990 a year. Single roles start lower. There is no demo call and no minimum.
Where the claims come from
Every claim about an AI SDR on this page comes from their own public pages, read on the date below. No price, churn rate or other figure is attributed to them anywhere here: those are claims about a business whose books we do not have. If something on this page is out of date, tell us and we will fix the row.
